Open Calls for Curators and Artists 2025
ARTISTS:
Open Call for artists in Partnership with OCA – Office for Contemporary Art Norway. Please apply here. DEADLINE: April 22.
This Open Call is funded by Kulturrådet/the Arts Council and OCA.
Location: Velferde Sokndals Scene for Samtidskunst in Dalane and Stavanger city.
Jury consists of Ruben Steinum, director of OCA / Maiken Stene, founder and director of Velferden and Tanja Sæter founder and director of Coast Contemporary.
Eligibility: The Open Call is for artists based in Norway or Norwegian artists based abroad.
CURATORS:
C-E-A FRANCE – Our Open Call in collaboration with C-E-A / French Curators Association is now open. Please apply trough CEA in France. DEADLINE: April 27.
Le partenariat initié en 2019 entre C-E-A et Coast Contemporary permet chaque année à des commissaires membres et à jour de leur cotisation, intéressé·e·s par la scène artistique norvégienne, de participer à un programme de rencontres et de visites dans plusieurs villes de Norvège. En 2025, le programme est prévu du 15 au 21 septembre 2025 à Velferden et Stavanger.

ICI – Independent Curators International
EUROPE: Open Call with ICI – Independent Curators International in the USA is now open and can be applied for trough ICI. DEADLINE: May 10.
Eligibility: This opportunity is available to curators and arts workers based in Europe. Curators working independently or with institutional affiliations may apply.
Applications: Applications should be sent by email to Zoe Dobuler, Senior Programs Coordinator, at zoe@curatorsintl.org by May 10, 2025.

This is our sixth Open Call in collaboration with our dear partners C-E-A and the Norwegian Embassy in Paris / The Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Travel, accommodation and food will be covered by the Norwegian Embassy in Paris and Coast Contemporary.
