The common denominator in much of my work is my interest for “invisible stories”. By focusing on phenomena, problems and historical events I feel we – as a society – need to pay more attention to, I illuminate underexposed parts of reality.
In the pieces Små monumenter / Small monuments (KORO, 2019), In Ruins (2018) and Narkoatlas / Drugatlas – Oslo (2016), I comment on societal and political themes like outsiderness, distribution of wealth, injustice and violence, all of which are common themes in my art.
My last project Deep fried World (2024) thematizes how over consumption characterizes most aspects of our society, and how consumption contributes to destroying the basis of our lives. I am interested in investigating how this is experienced for people – in their lives, bodies and emotions.
