Jessica Williams & Hverdags Books

Jessica Williams (b. 1986, Anchorage) is an artist and publisher based in Jeløya. Williams works freely between mediums including print, sculpture, and social practice. Sometimes playful and sometimes painful, at the core of her practice is an exploration of how value is produced and understood. This often includes the re-evaluation and re-assignment of value, as well as collaboration. Since 2016, she has published under the moniker Hverdag Books: a risograph imprint dedicated to publishing vulnerable and raw works by underrepresented voices, primarily in the Nordics.

Parallel to her artistic practice, Williams is also active as a guest educator and curator. Most recently, she curated the masters degree exhibition for the Art and Craft department at the National Academy of the Arts in Oslo. Before that, she spent two years as a curator at the Nitja Centre for Contemporary Art in Lillestrøm. Upcoming exhibitions and book fairs include a solo exhibition at UKS (Young Artists’ Society), Oslo in early 2027 and the 2026 New York Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1.
