Breton Cassette is an artist-driven initiative, founded in 2019. Her motivation for realizing Breton Cassette was based on her own experience of few platforms/initiatives for releasing sound projects that are not clearly placed in one of the fields of music or visual art.
Since 2019, 21 projects have been released.
The projects have varied in genre and expression from mixtapes, experimental sound and acapella work, conceptual soundworks, noise, pop music, spoken word, poetry and electronic music. In 2020 Breton Cassette did a collaboration with Oslo National Academy of the Arts and released a cassette with contents from a week long sound workshop at the Academy.
Breton Cassette has participated in Bergen Art Book Fair, Arctic Art Book Fair in Tromsø and Barstad Art Book Fair at Oppland kunstsenter.
