Born in Fredrikstad 1955. Lives and works in Oslo.
Janne Wilberg is the director of Cultural Heritage, City of Oslo and has held that position since 2011. She has a PhD in art history, with architecture as her area of specialization. Wilberg has broad experience from public cultural heritage management on all levels and is the first cultural heritage director recruited from property management. She worked for fifteen years at the Defence Estates Agency with military cultural heritage from all periods and led the development of the Defense Cultural Heritage Office for several years. She is still regarded as a WWII heritage specialist in Norway.
Old elementary school buildings constitute another area of expertise. Wilberg has written articles and been a contributor to books on various topics related to cultural heritage and is also interested in feminist history.
During Coast Contemporary Wilberg will contribute a war walkthrough of male and female war history on the island Hovedøya.
